What camera Will not work with The gateway HomeKit and Ip camera wizard? What Should i look for when choosing camera to have in HomeKit?

Answered

At the moment we refused to support the cameras in homkit, because Some codecs put too much strain on the server. In the future, we will return to this issue.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. i just bought 4 server from you thinking that it would work because you told me If devices work in the I3 lite then it Will work with Homekit. I think this is false advertise. And theres no place you statet what devices not works in Iridium gate HomeKit only What works and Ip cameras was one device that Should worked. We need to figure this out. I dont pay this kind of money and dont get this function you are claiming to support and then dont. I just stop using Homebridge in flavor for your products. How Do we solv this

First of all, we sell a gateway for voice control, so no one paid attention to the cameras.

In the first version, the camera support was, but the number of supported devices was so small that we decided to exclude this function. Because You focused on this, we will make changes to the text on the site, so as not to be misleading.
As I said, we will support cameras in the future, but this is not a priority task, because the main purpose of the gateway is voice control.

Hi. Thanks for the Quick replay.

Understand. So what you are saying is the camera module is not working in HomeKit but maybe will in a near future?  The main reason I bought the gateway was to have support of these devices in HomeKit.
Fibaro
Cameras
Coolautomation

How can we solv this? Because I have sold your products to costumers because of this support. But if I know that the camera support will come soon the clients can wait. We only want to view cameras in HomeKit App.

Because it is supported by a very limited number of cameras and it is unstable, I can not promise you the implementation in the near future.

Why do not you want to use the application "i3lite" with the voice control module? Those cameras and all control will be available from our application, and for voice control will be used Siri

Hi.
Maybe we are miss understanding each other?:)

I want to use Apple HomeKit app to control other non HomeKit devices through Siri and through the Home app GUI.

I have no problem to use your i3 app to set all products up to have those ( Fibaro, Ip camera, Cool automation ) to show up in HomeKit app.

So the question is still, all devices that are in the I3 lite AppStore, are they going to work with Apple HomeKit?, I don't need to control the cameras in HomeKit with voice, only to see the camera feed in the Home app. Together with climate control from cool automation, and smart home devices from Fibaro Hc2. All these devices need to be seen/ controlled through 1 app and that's Apple HomeKit app.
I thought the camera modul in I3 lite app would work in Apple HomeKit app?

Hope it's just a misunderstanding?

Sorry, but again, I pay attention that the primary goal of this gateway - voice control. Cameras are not supported now. In addition, some types of devices that are supported by i3lite are not supported by homkit itself, for example, media players.

Hi.

Ok. Then I think I am going to have a problem with my costumers thinking that it will have support for there cameras they have.
Need to talk to Theo and see if he has already sent my packet because it changes everything for me. This was not what I was told or what your website is stated. You should be more specific what is supported and not.

I now lose money because of this lack of information.

Sorry for me being a little angry but I have been asking, read all info on your website and tested the app and no were do it say what not will work.
