Add Delays to send command panel

Barry Jones 9 лет назад в GUI Editor обновлен 9 лет назад 15
would like to be able to add delays for drag and drop commands in the send command panel, may be in the action panel you could select press and add delay, good for buttons with multiple commands like tv channels and macro buttons, you could set default delay in job notes so as to default to the job

Hi

To clarify, I was not asking to change pulse to delay just to include delay :)

I think we could have something like this, so there is the option to have either pulse and/or delay after the command

You can add the delay here. Maybe it would be better to add such delay for IR output and IR folder?
Delay count from the last command sent (after receiving confirmation of command delivery, if it’s set)

I believe Barry is asking to add the delay to the send command to reduce the amount of steps (and thus time) it takes to build a series of commands (macro) on a button press

eg

send on

delay

send input

delay

send station 01

Currently we have to

1. add the commands

2. Go into macros editor and add delays

What we would like to do

1. add the command and at the same time add the delay

that's correct Jackie it would allow you to add the delay at the same time as the command

It will be a problem with this option.. we have added the "pulse" in dialog window:

It is used to send some value to equipment as impulse.

This option is not used with AV & Custom Systems, so we can add the Delay there (generally), but if we talk about macro, I don't think it is correct

Can we increase the width of send command - adding a delay is a very common action - probably more common than pulse?

Not sure it is more common action. You use it with the half of buttons when you use, for example, Modbus, AMX. EPSNET. It is really common action for some of us.
But u use the Delay only when make a macro. I agree, it may take a time to create, clone and position all the delays, but sure we shouldn't change Puls to Delay.

We have to look at some other way. Maybe like this:

Barry, Jackie, what do u think?

It will be sooo big dialog window)) but this function is really useful, so lets vote it

Thanks for looking at this guys, I have been involved with lots of control systems, and having the delay automatic allows for a better drag and drop exsperaince, not everything is going to be scripts and modules,

Barry

If i understand correctly, you want to send a command for the second time only after a certain time, right? Couldn't you also use the puls command for it? if you set puls the signal could be 500ms on, 500ms off, 500ms on, etc...

When it is not useful to send the command multiple times you could always use the release event.

The delay option looks to me as if the command is ran after 500 ms when the event is triggered (even for the first time).

This is how it looks when you activate the "Pulse":

"Delay":

"Pulse" + "Delay":

Ok, then i've misunderstood the problem i guess. thanks for clarifying!

Pulse - send same command after the pulse delay

ie

cmd 1

Pulse Delay

cmd 1

Delay - just add the delay, do not repeat the command, so we can drag on a different command.

Eg when yamahYNCA.power Main on , delay AFTER is 200.

ie

Cmd 1 (power on)

Delay (200)

So Pulse + Delay would be:

Cmd 1

Pulse Delay

Cmd 1

Delay

Hi guys just wanted to be able to select delay when adding a command not pulse just delay so as to select channels or location buttons the delay would be put in at the same time instread of adding it on its ow
