Hello.

We recommend using the HDL Interface module. There is an HDL scanner.

I have tried that as well, but it does not seem to find any devices. It does however ask for username and password, witch I do not have set on anything. I have also tried to add the IP manually.

In the module, you need to specify the gateway settings (host and port) through which you want to work with HDL. If you have a local connection, then you do not need to specify any usernames and passwords. If the settings are correct, the scanner can find your HDL devices located behind the HDL gateway.

I have added the IP for the HDL gateway, but it does not show any devises.

After adding the HDL Intreface, click on the "+" in the upper-right corner, then click HDL Scanner.

Thank you. i found them now

Hi, may I know using HDL scanner, the host and the port is IP from IP router or the UMC server?

Hello.

If your UMC is configured as an HDL gateway, you can specify it in the parameters for the scanner.

Yes. I have my UMC C3 set up based on the guide. https://dev.iridi.com/Fast_Start_Lite/en

And here is the HDL interface configuration.

However, I am still unable to scan the module using HDL Scanner, no module is shown in the scan. Any suggestions about this?

If you use the UMC server as an HDL gateway, then an HDL IP gateway is not required (only one device sends commands from the bus to the IP network). Here are the instructions for your question.

Thanks for the instruction. I have removed the IP router and only used the UMC C3 server. Currently here are my 2 challenges.

1. The i3lite server has been activated, however, I could not update the server. The server's current version is 1.3.5:17998 and the new version is  1.3.15:157. The update process keeps loading for 2 hours and it was still unable to finish the update process. Is there an alternative method to update the server?

2. Based on the guide (https://dev.iridi.com/HDL_lite/en#Adding_HDL_Devices), I have activated the server(step 3), but how do I add the devices? I notice Step 4 onwards is using HDL IP gateway to scan the devices. For UMC server as gateway, how to scan and add the devices?

Thank you.

In your case, you need to try to update the server version manually. As an example, you can read the instructions for i3 pro here. Instead of the i3 pro package, use the i3 lite package. Let us know if you need our help in updating manually and we will highlight your request in a separate topic for the opportunity to connect to you remotely.

Devices can be added either by scanner or manually. To do this, add the "HDL Interface" module to the i3 lite project and try to find everything with a scanner through it.

Thanks for the suggestions. Got it working.
