New (unwanted) Projects Overview

The old sort was used to change to a view so we could add popup groups - how do we do this in iR3.0?

Not.... at this moment... That's why i asked: which programmer did this????

If you need the grouping in order as before to use the function HideGroup, etc., now this is done as follows.

You create the folder in which to add your desired pages and popups, then click on this folder right click and choose from the list Group AMX Folder

Or you want to return to sort by type Pages and Popups?

yes, please, make this option (AMX Folder) available in the button in the upper right.

Because:

1) No installer can find this option now (it's hidden in the right-click menu)

2) IF they find this option, nobody understand what is mean by "AMX Folder" (only AMX-installers understand this).

I agree with Theo - 'Group AMX Folder' does not mean 'Add Popup Group'

The new sorting options are fine

Please add back the old option of Pages/Popups as well - VERY handy in large projects

We will discuss your suggestions.

Please Go back to the option of NOT having project overview organised into only Pages and only Popups

in iRidium 2 we could add our own folder and put both pages and popups in the folder - very useful on large projects

Without this level of organisation it is VERY DIFFICULT to navigate large projects

why when I migrate a project from 2 to 3, do I lose the folders that were there, many with only popups in them.

in iRidium 2 we could add our own folder and put both pages and popups in the folder - very useful on large projects EG Folder Floor 1 Sub folder - room 1 page 1 popup 1 popup 2 .... sub folder - room 2 ... Folder Floor 2 Folder AV Folder Security

In iRiidum studio you can also create your own folders and move in them the page and popup.

In recent versions of iRidium Studio we have fixed this issue.

Was this really fixed? I am using version 1.0.5.18898 and still no way to switch the mode of displaying the tree [Folders/Popup Groups]. There is still no button:

In order to switch to edit groups mode, you need to click the right mouse button on project and choose Manage Popup Groups.

You can see, Dmitry: it's confusing for users. Please fix this, and make the old situation (with the icon to change from folders to popups).

That was working, that was ok. Nobody asked for these changes :-)

I have already created folders and organized them respectively. However, I don't see any benefit from having to organize them in folders and also in Popup Groups. The benefits of organizing in groups are obviously that only one popup from each group is displayed at a time. Does this apply to folers also? If so, then I can understand that we have to migrate to this method of organization. But if it does not work this way then my suggestion would be to be able to switch to either folder view or group view. And in either view to be able to sort alphabetically and age view.
