Hi,
We got many complaints from current installers, that they have to use 2.x GUI Editor AND 3.0 Studio Editor for the future on their PC's, to maintain the projects.
Why it's not possible to save a project in iridium Studio in 2.x format? Look to CorelDraw, Word, Excel, all software worldwide: in every version it's possible to save a file in the 'old' format...
So, please, make it possible to save projects in 2.x format in Studio. We don't see any problem to implement this.

yes, we need this too!!!!
Sorry I disagree. Corel Draw, Word and Excel are not development environments.
It is normal in IDE's (Integrated Development Environments) to be able to open a project and upgrade it, it is not normal to be able to downgrade a project to a previous version. There is a lot more to saving a project in an IDE than there is changing the save format in an application like Word or Excel. I think is this is likely to be a big job that will possibly create more problems than it is worth.
I vote to keep iR2 and iR3 in separate IDE's
You are right, Jackie!
I understand your options. But WE (here in the Netherlands and Belgium) have many many installers that have made hundreds and hundreds of projects. Must all these installers keep installed 2 different software programs? 2.2 and 3.0???
Come on...
For your installers it will be not a problem Jackie, but I think my installers want it....
Let's wait for their replies.
Thanks
Theo
