Iridium Server for Synology NAS?
hi,
i'am a user from the beginning, and i like whats going on with iRidium Mobile.
would it be possible to make a iRidiumServer version for the whole synology nas family too?
either as a normal programm package or as a docker? would be really really cool if it runs on the synology nas with two ethernet ports. so eth1 could be used as the normal "house"-lan port and eth2 could be connected to the ip/ethernet interface of the bus system. and in most cases, a nas is allready there and running 24/7, so why don't use it as the server? and its linux, and stable too...
thanks!
with best regards,

is iRidium Server acting as iRidium Gate as well? if not, it would be a start if iRidium Gate could run on a Synology NAS!
Thx!
Hello Martin,
We plan to support Synology and Qnap, but not in the first release
Dear Martin
We plan to stop the support of Gate app, it will be Server available instead of it
hi, i've seen the i3 server is now also running on the pi2. so, have you looked at the synology nas version? now dsm6.0 is officially out. i think it wouldn't be so hard to compile it for the synology nas devices, its linux.
how about the second ethernet thing? is this already implemented in the current beta versions of i3 server?
thx.
p.s.: is the new MQQT driver for chamsys magicq? :-)))
In the near future (six months), we do not plan to release a server for synology nas
+1 for Synology - we have a Synology NAS and this would mean we wouldn't need a second device running on our network for iRidium - great idea!
The server consumes a large amount of resources and is very sensitive to service interruptions. Given that the NAS has its priorities, joint work will be inefficient and unreliable.
