iRidium studio: Add changing a background color of Gallery items

Oksana (expert) 1 year ago in Ideas • updated 1 year ago 2

Hello!

Please, add changing a background color (black for light items and white for dark items or choosing between: black, white and transparent) of Gallery items, because it's very difficult to understand, what icons contain.

Thank you!

QR Code for First Installation/Download

Jackie Roos 3 years ago in Ideas • updated by Aleksandr Romanov (CTO) 1 year ago 1

To Replicate:

1. Send an invitation to user. They do not have their email on iPad - it is a company's boardroom iPad without email.

2. Generate QR code from the Cloud and send to them.

2. NOT logged into iRidium i3 pro on iOS

2. have i3 pro running

3. go to QRCode scanner and scan QR code

4. Get the following error: The requested URL cannot be opened, or it required a special 3rd party app. Would you like to search the app store? URL: i3pro://project?id=****

OR

1. Send an invitation to user.

2. Generate QR code using https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/ based on the link in the email: i3pro://cloud/objects/object/project/download/get?id=****

2. NOT logged into iRidium i3 pro on iOS

2. have i3 pro running

3. go to QRCode scanner and scan QR code

4. The requested URL cannot be opened, or it required a special 3rd party app. Would you like to search the app store? URL: i3pro://cloud/objects/object/project/download/get?id=****

In iRidium 2, I could send a QR Code to an end user and they could scan the code and install the project - whether it was the very first time or 10th time.

We need to have the option to generate a QR code to work for an initial invitation please, so that a user does not need to access email on panels that are not for individual use eg in commercial environments such as boardrooms.

The QR code should only be active for a period of time, eg 8 hours.

i3lite. Sort items in store

Benno Evers 2 years ago in Ideas • updated by Aleksandr Romanov (CTO) 1 year ago 2

It would be great when we can select how to sort the modules in the store. At this moment it is unclear how the list is sorted.

I think good options are:
Alphabet
Rank
Download count for the particular module
Developer

Thanks

Benno

When gate installed, it's not clear in i3 lite app which license (for which modules) are active.

It's not showed in i3 lite app (in webinterface it's showed, but that's not accessible for end-user).

please show the current (installed) license in i3 lite app, when gate module(s) is activated.

Thanks

Different screenservers on different clients

Theo Derks - NL (distributor) 2 months ago in Ideas • updated by 'Wouter van der Post' 2 months ago 7

Hi

Installer has this question: can he enable/activate different screensavers on different clients?

For example: hotel with conference-rooms. Each conference-room has iPad, and on each ipad must different screensaver activated (for example dependent on room-number saved in a token).

Is this possible? and , if not, can it be implemented in the near future?

Thanks!

Memory expansion UMC

Alessandro Munari 2 weeks ago in Ideas • updated by Vladimir Ovchinnikov 2 weeks ago 1

Continuing the previous topic of Memory expansion on UMS server ....

I know that when I select from the studio which variable to store it goes directly in the Iridium database. How can I choose in wich database to store the variable ?

I need to create script for that ?

I think it will be good to add the popssibility to choose in wich directory to store the db file, and also allow, from the web server interface to select an USB or NETWORK path ...

Don't you think is a good idea. The memory of UMC is very limited, but it can be expanded with USB drive or NETwork path (FTP, i.e) ...

as example, when the phone enter in a specific area, I can send command to iRidium Server (meybe open the garage door, etc, turn on the external lights, ...)

UMC memory expansion for database file

Alessandro Munari 3 months ago in Ideas • updated by Vladimir Ovchinnikov 2 weeks ago 8

Hi, I noticed that the UMC server has a USB port. Is there any possibily to use this port to store the Server database ?

Maybe it requires some changes on server to select in wich path to store the database file.

If I use a 30Gb USB memory drive, I can store very large ammount of data into the UMC server.

Is there any possibilities ?

Using Philips Hue Dimmer Switch to send commands in a project

Iain Brew 3 months ago in Ideas 0

I am curious if anyone has successfully implemented the following. I have a Philips Hue bridge and a Philips Dimmer Switch. This switch has four buttons on it which send commands to the bridge to then trigger lighting presets etc. The Hue system has an open API which allows you to query what button has been pressed on the dimmer switch.

Effectively, instead of having the dimmer switch buttons controlling a light, I want to read its status (feedback) and have it send a command to a driver instead. For example:

Press Dimmer Switch 1 = send command 'x' to driver 'y'

Press Dimmer Switch 2 = send command 'a' to driver 'b' and send number '8' to token 'z'

and so on...

If anyone has any examples of this working or could advise a cleaner solution for inexpensive wall mountable buttons to trigger feedbacks I would be very appreciative!
